The State Senate study committee looking at the idea of a state takeover of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport has scheduled a meeting for Dec. 13.

The committee studying the idea of creating an airport authority is due to prepare a report on its findings by Jan. 1, 2019. It was originally due to file a report by Dec. 1, but the deadline for all study committee reports was extended by a month.

The committee has held three meetings so far exploring the Atlanta airport’s contracting and financial structure and the idea of a second airport.

The committee’s fourth meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. at the State Capitol in room 450. The meeting is rescheduled after previously being set for different days that week, and has been moved to room 450.
