Delta Air Lines announced it will fly a third daily Atlanta-to-London Heathrow flight, taking over one of the flights operated by its joint venture partner Virgin Atlantic.

Starting May 25, 2017, Atlanta-based Delta will take over the second daily flight that has been operated by Virgin Atlantic.

Delta previously operated three daily Atlanta-London Heathrow flights, before U.K.-based Virgin Atlantic launched flights to Atlanta in 2014 as a Delta partner. Virgin Atlantic will continue to operate one daily Atlanta-to-London Heathrow flight.
