Airport security lines at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport snaked out from the main security checkpoint through the terminal and back through baggage claim Saturday morning as holiday travelers began their trips.

Amid the long lines, the Transportation Security Administration at mid-morning Saturday was using a form of expedited screening using bomb-sniffing dogs with fewer security lanes open.

The Atlanta airport expects a record number of passengers this year and during the holiday season.

Long lines at TSA checkpoints have plagued the airport during peak times in recent months.
