An updated winter storm watch was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 9:37 p.m. valid from Tuesday 5 p.m. until Wednesday noon. The watch is for Jenkins, Screven, Candler, Bulloch, Effingham, Tattnall and Evans counties.
The NWS says to be ready for, "Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations one to three inches possible."
"Plan on treacherous road conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses. Very cold temperatures Wednesday night could result in refreezing and black ice formation," describes the NWS. "Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation."

If you become stranded, stay composed. Notify someone about your situation and location. Avoid attempting to walk to safety. Attach a cloth to your car's antenna or mirror to signal that you require assistance. Make your vehicle more visible by using the dome light and flashers.

Keep an eye out for snow plows and provide them with ample room to pass. Only overtake a plow when you have a clear view of the road ahead.
