The advisory was for Dade, Walker, Catoosa, Whitfield, Murray, Fannin, Gilmer, Union, Towns, Chattooga, Dawson, Lumpkin and White counties.
"Winds are no longer at gusting to advisory criteria, so the advisory will be allowed to expire. Wind gusts this afternoon are expected to pick up to 15-25 mph, but shouldn't be as strong as yesterday," according to the National Weather Service.
