A report from the National Weather Service was issued on Tuesday at 5:08 p.m. for light snow until 11 p.m.

"Areas of light snow will continue to impact much of the western Carolinas this evening. Most locations roughly north of I-85 will see little more than a light dusting. Despite these light accumulations, very cold temperatures indicate that anything that does fall is likely to stick quickly to roads, resulting in hazardous driving conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses. If traveling across the area this evening, slow down and allow for plenty of space between yourself and other vehicles. While the snow will taper off by mid-evening, cold temperatures will likely result in some slick spots on roads through the Wednesday morning commute," according to the NWS.
