On Tuesday at 9:05 p.m. an updated winter storm warning was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until Wednesday at 9 a.m. The warning is for McDuffie, Columbia, Richmond and Burke counties.
The NWS describes, "Total snow accumulations between 1 and 3 inches, with locally higher amounts possible."
"Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning commute," comments the NWS. "If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1."
