“We are dealing with some wet areas,” Eboni Deon said Saturday evening. She said they were some heavy downpours in isolated areas.

She and Channel 2′s weather team expected to be tracking a few showers in the area into the early overnight hours Sunday. But those isolated storms should clear out by morning, when Atlanta is expected to wake up to temperatures around 71 degrees.

“With additional moisture still kind of lingering overhead, Sunday morning we could wake up to some areas of patchy fog, but still plenty of sunshine to start the day,” Deon said.

There’s a 30% rain chance Sunday, with the possibility of more isolated showers forming in the afternoon. Deon said most of those storms will be west of metro Atlanta, near Alabama state line.
