Update: Storm surge watch for Chatham County until Tuesday afternoon

On Tuesday at 5 a.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated storm surge watch in effect until 1 p.m.

"WIND - LATEST LOCAL FORECAST: Below tropical storm force wind - Peak Wind Forecast: 25-35 mph with gusts to 45 mph," according to the NWS.
