President Carter departs Carter Center on final trip to Washington

Carter’s motorcade arrived in Washington this afternoon. There, the former president's casket was carried to a horse-drawn caisson for a procession to the U.S. Capitol.
The former president is remembered as a Renaissance man from Georgia who championed peace.
