The Steve Spurrier pipeline to Georgia continued on Wednesday as South Carolina gained a commitment from Georgia's No. 25 overall prospect.

Jordan Smith, a 4-star defensive end, announced his commitment to play for the Gamecocks at Lithonia High School on Wednesday.
Lithonia coach Marcus Jelks compares Jordan's game to one of the best Gamecocks players in recent history.
“He reminds me of a (Jadeveon) Clowney type of player,” Jelks said. “He’s a long, lean, rangy type of kid. He gets after it and is a pass-rusher.”
South Carolina beat out UGA, Clemson, Florida and Tennessee. Last recruiting cycle, Spurrier signed five guys from the state of Georgia.
The 6-foot-5, 220-pounder recently told the AJC that South Carolina was his leader and was unsure of how any other finalist could vault the Gamecocks just days before his decision.
Smith wants to play defensive end on the next level, and UGA was recruiting him to play outside linebacker, which is one of the reasons why he didn't pick the Bulldogs.
