South by Southwest Interactive announced on Wednesday its first keynote speaker for its March festival. Paola Antonelli, senior curator of design at New York’s Museum of Modern Art, will delivery opening remarks on Friday, March 13.

Antonelli has been at MoMA since 1994 and is also the museum's founding director of research and development. She Tweets @CuriousOctopus and is also known for her writing and editing.

The festival previously announced nearly two dozen featured speakers and also this week released the lineup for its South Bites food-related content.

On Oct. 20, the festival will make release its first big list of panels for 2015.
