A series of crashes on metro Atlanta’s interstates are making a typically slow evening commute even worse.
Wrecks in Cobb, Fulton and DeKalb counties are delaying drivers as they head home from work, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.
At the Cobb Cloverleaf, an earlier wreck has all lanes of I-75 South blocked on the ramp to I-285 West. The crash is causing delays for southbound drivers starting near the Delk Road exit.

In Clayton County, a stalled tractor-trailer is blocking a center lane of I-75 South at Mt. Zion Boulevard, according to the Traffic Center.

And in Buckhead, a wreck on Ga. 400 is slowing things down in the southbound lanes near Lenox Road. The crash has been moved to the shoulder, but delays are building behind it.

Traffic may be bad throughout metro Atlanta, but at least the rain is holding off.
A cloudy start to Tuesday morning made way for blue skies and sunshine across North Georgia. But some showers could make an appearance later this evening, Channel 2 meteorologist Katie Walls said.
“Yet again, we're going to be dealing with scattered downpours, and as we saw yesterday, some of those storms could pack a punch,” she said.
Rain chances are going up! While widespread severe weather is not expected, a couple storms may be strong, producing gusty wind. Live tracking starting at 4 on Ch. 2 with @GlennBurnsWSB and @BradNitzWSB pic.twitter.com/BvtpIrHZcX

Walls said it’s just that time of year for high humidity and afternoon storms.
“Even though we're looking at a high only around 90 degrees, factor in that humidity and it’s going to be feeling more like 96 degrees,” she said.
At 6 p.m., it was 93 degrees in Atlanta. But it felt like 95.
The chance of widespread showers and storms is 40%, but Walls said the best opportunity for rain is an area of low pressure toward the South Carolina line. Most of today’s rain should stick to the south and southeast of I-85, she said.
Nope... another day of 90s as rain has held off across much of metro #ATL. Today was the 18th day of 90s this month and the 16th in a row!

“Things to keep in mind, but you know, keep an umbrella handy just in case one of those downpours impacts you,” she said.
There is a 40% chance of rain in the forecast each day this week before the chances ramp up to 60% for the weekend, according to the latest forecast. While the weekend could be wet, high temperatures will continue to fall.
Saturday could be the first time in a while metro Atlanta falls short of 90 degrees, Walls said.
“Those high temperatures cooling from 87 degrees on Saturday down to 84 degrees on Sunday with a 60% chance of showers and storms,” she said.
