There is a 10 percent chance of rain tonight that could bring isolated showers and thunder to metro Atlanta.

“But if you’ve got outdoor plans, the chances are so low, I wouldn’t change them,” Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

The next significant rain chance is Saturday night, when metro Atlanta faces a marginal risk for severe storms, according to Channel 2. Damaging winds and hail are predicted to hit northwest Georgia.

A 60 percent chance of rain is predicted Saturday and Sunday. Showers could spread into Monday, which has a 30 percent chance of rain.

Atlanta just missed the expected high, reaching 84 degrees in the afternoon. Saturday’s high is also expected to be 84.

With the rain, the high is expected to drop to 69 degrees Sunday.
