Skies are clearing, but metro Atlanta didn’t hit the 70s Friday afternoon, according to Channel 2 Action News.
In fact, breezy conditions are expected to only get worse as the hours pass.
“So as you make your plans for today, expect these winds to continue to increase a bit in the hours ahead,” Channel 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz said.
Temps were 55 degrees in Atlanta, 47 in Blairsville and 55 in Griffin after 4:30 p.m.
Atlanta will drop to 46 degrees by 7 p.m., Channel 2 reported.
Temps will continue dropping into the evening.
“So if you’re going to be out this evening, you’re definitely going to want a jacket,” Nitz said.
By Saturday morning, we’ll be below freezing at 31 degrees. The high is forecast to reach only 51, Nitz said.
