Depending on how far north your office is, an umbrella might come in handy this afternoon, according to Channel 2 Action News.

“As we head through this afternoon, a few isolated showers will develop mainly along and north and west of I-85,” Channel 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

The rain is expected to continue off and on through 6 p.m. and taper off about 8 p.m. The rain chance is at 20 percent, Channel 2 reported.

That chance diminishes Friday and makes way for a dry and sunny weekend.

“We’ll be mostly sunny tomorrow and a little warmer than today,” Nitz said.

Currently, the temperature is 75 degrees in Atlanta. The high is expected to reach 79, then increase to 83 Friday, Channel 2 reported.
