Enjoyed that sunny 70-degree weather?

This may be the last time you see it for another week. A cold front coming through is expected to bring rains overnight, Channel 2 Action News reported.

About 10 p.m. showers should hit west of Atlanta before entering the city between midnight and 1 a.m. Thursday, then move south, Chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said.

Rains should be gone by Thursday morning, making way for temperatures in the 40s. The expected high for tomorrow is 49 and the expected low is 39.

Temperatures were 61 degrees in Atlanta, 60 degrees in Blairsville and 53 degrees in Griffin at 10 p.m.

And despite a few clouds, it is expected to be sunny most of the day, she said.

Earlier, a moderate amount of pollen arrived in metro Atlanta on Wednesday.

According to Atlanta Allergy and Asthma, the pollen count was 53 particles of pollen per cubic meter of air.

While far short of last year's season high of 4,107 particles of pollen per cubic meter of air, the number is significant.

“Last year on this date, [the] pollen count was zero,” meteorologist Karen Minton said.

Rain Wednesday night should wash any pollen.
