American Airlines, which generally offers 31 to 32 inches of seat pitch in its economy cabin, is planning to cut even more legroom.

According to CNN, the airline will be losing another two inches of front-to-back space (or pitch) between some its economy class seats.

The new measurements will be reflected in the upcoming Boeing 737 Max jetliners with 29 inches of space on three rows of the airplane and 30 inches in the rest of the plane’s main economy cabin.

The decrease in space, which includes smaller bathrooms, will allow for the addition of 10 seats to the single-aisle jetliner.

Fliers will still have to pay regular economy prices for the 18 seats with two inches less leg room in the 170-plus seat jetliner.

The popular airline will become the first large U.S. carrier with legroom with a pitch comparable to ultra-low cost carriers such as Spirit Airlines (28 inches) and Frontier Airlines (28 inches), CNN reported.
