Utility player Sean Rodriguez, closing in on joining the Atlanta Braves after recovering from a horrific offseason auto accident, went 1-for-3 along with a walk but the Gwinnett Braves lost to the Indianapolis Indians 3-1 in Triple-A baseball in Lawrenceville Saturday.

Rodriguez played second base while top Braves prospect Ozzie Albies handled shortstop. Albies went 1-for-5 at the plate and is hitting .290.

Gwinnett starter Aaron Blair (6-5) pitched well, allowing just two earned runs and eight hits in seven innings but got the loss. Blair struck out six and walked none.
