Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps weighed in on the back-and-forth between NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan and LaVar Ball.

On Tuesday, a video surfaced of Jordan responding to Ball's claims from earlier in the week that he could beat Jordan in a game of one-on-one.

"You got to understand the source. I think he played college, maybe? He averaged 2.2 points a game. Really? It doesn't deserve a response, but Imma give it to you because you asked the question," Jordan said to a group of school-aged children. "I don't think he could beat me if I was one-legged."

Ball played at 26 games at Washington State from 1987 to 1988 and did in fact average 2.2 points per game, as Jordan claimed. Ball shot 40.4 percent from the field and hit 45 percent of his free throws.

Ball responded to Jordan on Tuesday evening in an interview with ESPN’s 850 WKNR.

"Come on, I didn't even play basketball in the pros and they're talking about me and Michael Jordan,” Ball said. “That's what I'm talking about. He tells me he can beat me with one leg. Well, guess what: I can beat him with one hand. Now we both look like we out there like we can't play."

Phelps weighed in on Ball’s claim he could beat the six-time NBA Champion on ESPN’s post on Instagram commenting, “I’d pay to watch him try.”
