Jason Lockhart is finally going home.

After several surgeries to fix lacerations on his arteries, the son of former Atlanta Braves second baseman Keith Lockhart was released from Scottish Rite Hospital on Sunday.

Jason, 15, will continue to recover at home with his family after he was hit in the face during a South Carolina baseball tournament on June 17.

On Thursday, Jason’s sister Sydney Lockhart wrote on Facebook that Jason was awake and on Sunday, announced Jason was headed home with a video of her brother walking out of the hospital.

“Sweet Jason is headed home! We (and all of you) have prayed so relentlessly for this day and it's finally here,” Sydney wrote on Facebook. “Jason is such a testament of God's faithfulness and His power. We are beyond excited and thankful. Jason still has strict orders from the doctors for the next few weeks. He still has a lot of healing and resting to do.”
