Georgia vs. Kentucky: A brief history

The Georgia Bulldogs and Kentucky Wildcats have played annually since 1956, two short years after Paul "Bear" Bryant left Kentucky for Texas A&M. Georgia has won the last seven meetings against Kentucky. Georgia's biggest win came in 2004, when the Bulldogs piled on 62 points on the Wildcats. The Kentucky Wildcats have only 12 wins against the Georgia Bulldogs in a series that dates back a century and has been played in earnest since 1956.

The Bulldogs (9-1, 6-1 in SEC) have won the last seven meetings against the Wildcats (7-3, 4-3 in SEC).

Kirby Smart: 'My focus is on Kentucky'

Georgia’s biggest win came in 2004, with a 62-17 final score. Georgia’s last loss to Kentucky came in 2009 in Athens. Kentucky scored 14 points off four Georgia second-half turnovers. It was the Wildcats’ first win in Athens in 32 years.

Georgia faces Kentucky at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Sanford Stadium.
