The Atlanta Falcons opened as 3-point underdogs against the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.

Prop bets are the side wagers Vegas puts on certain elements of the game. Here are some that give Atlanta an advantage over New England in Houston on Feb 5.

Vegas oddsmakers believe the Patriots will lead most of the game and therefore Matt Ryan (5/6) will throwing more often.

Odds to have the most receiving yards

The Patriots held Pittsburgh's Antonio Brown to 77 yards in the AFC Championship Game. Julio Jones had nine catches for 180 yards against a rather weak Green Bay Packers secondary. Let's not forget that 73-yard touchdown catch and run.

Odds a kicker misses an extra point

The Falcons' Matt Bryant (15/1) hit three field goals this postseason, with his longest of 35 yards. He hit 9 of 10 extra point attempts. The Patriots' Stephen Gostkowski (17/2) was a perfect 5-for-5 on field goals, with his longest at 47 yards in the postseason. He also missed an extra point try. Bryant has more experience.

Odds to score first touchdown

Falcons running back Devonta Freeman had 11 rushing touchdowns in the regular season.

The Falcons have reached the end zone on their opening drive in eight straight games. Odds suggest Julio Jones (9/2) or Devonta Freeman (5/1) put six up on the board first -- even if the Falcons opt to defer as they have most often this season when wining the coin toss.

Will either team break the Super Bowl record of 55 points scored?

The Patriots scored over 40 points twice this season - against the Jets and Bills. The Falcons, who led the league in points scored in the regular season, scored more than 40 points six times, including their 44-21 win over the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game. Oddsmakers believe this record sticks, but if it’s meant to be broken it could be by these Falcons.
