The Falcons promoted defensive tackle Taniela Tupou to the 53-man roster from the practice squad on Tuesday.
The Falcons placed defensive end Jack Crawford on injured reserve due to a bicep injury, ending the season of the defensive lineman, last Tuesday.
The promotion of Tupou is the corresponding roster move following the team’s bye week.
Tupou, 24, is listed at 6-foot-1 and 284 pounds. He played at Washington. He was signed by the Seahawks as an undrafted rookie free agent last season. He played in one game.
Tupou signed with the Falcons in May and went through the offseason before getting cut after training camp in September. He was re-signed to the practice squad shortly after.
Crawford suffered the injury in the loss to the Bills on Oct. 1. The Falcons signed Crawford in March. He played in all four games before the injury. Crawford recorded five tackles and three of the Falcons’ 27 hits on opposing quarterbacks.
