It’s game week and the countdown has begun to the big game Saturday in Jacksonville.
It’s Georgia vs. Florida. Or it’s Florida vs. Georgia. Either way, it’s big -- especially for Georgia this season.
Here’s what you should know about Saturday’s game:
> OK, what's the deal with the name?: Long known as the 'World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party', officials have attempted to distance themselves from that title in recent years, imposing the name 'River City Showdown' last year. River City Showdown? No way.
> When, where, kickoff: Saturday, 3:30 p.m., Everbank Field, Jacksonville, Fla.
> Why is this game such a big deal?: Fans from Georgia and Florida already know the answer. For those arriving late to the party, it's big because of the bitter rivalry between the schools and the atmosphere surrounding the game is fun, fun, fun.
The game is played at a ‘neutral site’, a site in Florida and less than 100 miles from the Florida campus. Meanwhile, Athens is five hours away and in another state -- but that doesn’t matter.
> Going to the game?: Check out this website for everything you need from game information to parking to entrance into RV City - just don't expect to see any mention of the 'World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party'.
> Records, series: Georgia is 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the SEC. Florida is 3-3 overall and 3-2 in the SEC.
As for series record, well ....another example of rivalry between the schools. Both agree that Georgia leads the overall series, but Florida doesn’t count one victory from more than 100 years ago that Georgia does. Let the fun begin.

> Why is this year's game big?: If everything listed above isn't explanation enough, consider these three numbers -- 3, 7 and 1. Georgia has lost three straight in the series, and a win Saturday would end that drought, extend this year's winning streak from 7 to 8 and strengthen its hold on the No. 1 spot in the SEC East.
