Being the leading rusher in the ACC and Georgia Tech’s starting quarterback may have helped TaQuon Marshall gain renown, but it hasn’t necessarily helped people learn how to pronounce his first name correctly.

It’s tuh-KWON. It is often pronounced TAY-kwon. In fact, the team media guide offers “TAY-qwon” in the pronunciation guide.

“Sometimes I correct them, sometimes I don’t,” Marshall said. “It’s not a big deal. A lot of people call me Kwon nowadays.”

Marshall said he hears “tay-kwon” about 90 percent of the time.

“I know what they’re saying,” he said. “It’s not a big deal.”
