Three questions with Georgia Tech defensive end KeShun Freeman ahead of Saturday’s game against Georgia Southern at Bobby Dodd Stadium:

Q: As one of the leaders on the defense, what do you say to your teammates about what’s been happening and how to move forward?

A: You make sure that everyone stays in a positive mentality. You make sure that no one is down. When people start getting down, that's when all the energy goes down. I'm making sure that everyone keeps a positive attitude. The locker room seems like everyone's positive. Everyone's looking forward to this game. We can look back as much as we want to, but we can't change those things. We keep looking forward, looking at the the things we can gain from this season and staying positive

Q: How do you balance looking back and trying to learn from the mistakes with trying to look forward?

A: At the beginning of the week we watch the game film and address the mistakes and then we apply it to our next game. We say, "Hey, in this next game if you are going to do that move, do it like this." We always try to focus on improving whatever we did wrong in the last game. That's how we do it. And then, on the athletic part of it, me and the older guys provide constant reminders, "Hey, you did that wrong last time, let's fix it." That's how we do it.

Q: Has the four player rotation at defensive end helped you increase your production?

A: It's helping us stay healthy. We have guys. No one is just out there exhausted. It's fine. (Defensive line coach Mike Pelton) makes sure that everyone's healthy. It's pretty good.
