Three-star defensive tackle Antwan Owens received an offer from Georgia Tech for 2017, according to Owens’ Twitter page.

Owens announced his offer on Thursday evening by posting a picture of Yellow Jackets' quarterback Justin Thomas on Twitter and writing, "Blessed to receive an offer from Georgia Tech."

The 6-foot-3, 286 pound senior at Amos P. Godby High School in Tallahassee, Fla. is verbally committed to Central Florida as of June. Owens has offers from 26 other colleges including South Florida, Appalachian State, Cincinnati, Indiana, Kentucky, Florida, Georgia Southern, NC State and Wake Forest, according to 247 Sports.

In Owens' junior season highlights with the Godby Cougars, he played tight end and defensive end. Owens also played as a lineman on Cougars' field goal unit.

The Cougars finished Owens’ senior season 2-7 with their final regular season game on Friday ending in a 28-8 loss against Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, acccording to MaxPreps.
