WHAT HE SAID

On the receiving his offer from Tech: "Everything happened (Jan. 27) around 6:30 in the morning. (Tech coaches) called and they were telling me how they liked me and that I'd be a great asset to this team, and they booked a flight for me and my mom to come up."

On why he chose Tech: "The great thing that they really were pushing and trying to let us know was about their high level of education and that's what really made my decision because I know that even if I don't make it with football, I can still make it with a career and a good education from Georgia Tech."

On why he was convinced to commit during his official visit: "The tour was really nice. The school was a nice facility. I liked it. And the weather is definitely different, it's a lot colder in Atlanta than in California. I like the cold though. The team and the coaches were really nice. They were very welcoming, and I felt like I fit in well."
