Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart will speak at 2017 SEC Media Days on Tuesday, July 11. He’ll be joined by three UGA players - yet to be determined.
Florida’s Jim McElwain, Vanderbilt’s Derek Mason and Mississippi State’s Dan Mullen also will take the podium on the second day of the annual gathering in Hoover, Ala.
Smart enters his second season in Athens looking to build off an 8-5 season and a top-three recruiting class.
The honor of attending Media Days is usually reserved for upper classmen. UGA defensive back Dominick Sanders, tight end Jeb Blazevich and offensive lineman Brandon Kublanow spoke at 2016 media day. Running backs Nick Chubb and Sony Michel, who surprisingly returned for their senior seasons, are among the leading options to address the media this year.
ESPN and SEC Network will provide television coverage.
The SEC’s football media days take place July 10-13. Players attending haven’t been announced and all times are subject to change.
