Everyone is looking forward to Monday night’s national championship game between Georgia and Alabama at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

But that is still a few days away so there’s time to look back at the Bulldogs’ last national title team, the beloved 1980 squad that finished 12-0.

That team beat Notre Dame in the championship game in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans on Jan. 1, 1981.
