The majority – by a wide margin – of ticket buyers for the college football national championship game are coming from Georgia, according to StubHub.

No surprise.

The ticket broker said 50 percent of buyers are from the state in advance of Monday night's game between Georgia and Alabama at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The ticket site also said that the average ticket price is $2,689 with 4,000 seats available. It said demand based on ticket sales is up 106 percent compared to last year’s national championship game at this time.

Here’s a look at where StubHub says the majority of buyers are coming from:

1. Georgia – 50 percent

2. Florida – 7 percent

3. Tennessee – 4.4 percent

4. South Carolina – 4.2 percent

5. North Carolina – 3.7 percent

6. Texas – 3.3 percent

7. Alabama – 3.1 percent

Alabama and Georgia will have played in three of the first four college football games at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Alabama opened the season with a 24-7 win over Florida State. Georgia won the SEC Championship over Auburn, 28-7. Since 2007, Alabama and Nick Saban are 11-1 in Atlanta. Georgia is the seventh team since 2000 to play for a national title game in their home state. Teams playing for a national title in their home state are 3-3.
