Georgia moved up to No. 3 in the Associated Press Top 25 college football poll released Sunday.

Georgia (7-0, 4-0 SEC) defeated Missouri, 53-28, on Saturday. The Bulldogs are behind No. 1 Alabama (7-0) and the new No. 2 Penn State (6-0).

The Bulldogs have a bye this weekend. They next play Oct. 28 against the Florida Gators in Jacksonville, Fla.

A spot at the top of the poll opened with then-No. 2 Clemson (6-1) lost to Syracuse, 27-24, on Thursday. Clemson fell to No. 8 with the upset loss.

Alabama got all 63 first-place votes. Penn State was idle last week.

TCU (6-0) jumped three spots to No. 4 and Wisconsin (6-0) moved up a spot to round out the top five. The top five are the same in the Coaches Poll.

In a week of upsets, Washington fell eight places to No. 12, Washington State fell nine spots to No. 18 and Auburn fell 10 spots to No. 21.

Georgia Tech, which just missed the Top 25 last week, received just two points.
