The Braves announced their 2018 season promotional schedule on Thursday, including the latest bobbleheads, Chipper Jones plaques and “chop on” hats.

Perhaps the most significant event will be July 29 when Jones is inducted into the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. The Braves host the Dodgers the weekend of July 27-29.

Jones’ official induction occurs the 29th, a Sunday. The day features a “Hall of Fame ticket package” that includes a Jones souvenir mug made out of a hollowed bat. Following the game, Jones’ induction speech will be shown at the stadium for the fans in attendance.

There will also be a Jones plaque giveaway on Aug. 10 against the Brewers for the first 20,000 in attendance. Jones bobbleheads will be a promotional item eight days later when the Rockies visit Atlanta.

The first game at SunTrust Park will be an exhibition against the Yankees on March 26. The Braves Futures game will be the following night.

The Braves open the regular season at home against the Phillies on March 29. The first 40,000 fans will receive a ‘chop on’ tomahawk. The next day will include a magnetic schedule giveaway.

SunTrust Park will host its first ‘bark in the park’ on April 20 against the Mets. That day will also include autograph sessions with alumni and the new mascot bobblehead giveaway.

The Braves will celebrate Star Wars on May 4, with more details to come. There will be additional days dedicated to numerous colleges in the area, including Kennesaw State, Georgia Southern, Clemson.

The bobblehead giveaways are as follows:

April 20: Ender Inciarte “Gold Glove”

April 22: New mascot

May 5: Ozzie Albies “Ozzie Calrissian” (Star Wars theme)

June 15: Freddie Freeman “Freddie Stretch”

August 18: Chipper Jones “Crazy Train”

Sept. 4: Babe Ruth “Boston Braves”

Sept. 15: Mike Foltynewicz, player designed

The Braves also announced single-game tickets will go on sale Friday. A complete list of the promotional schedule can be found on the Braves website.
