If you’re searching for a fun way to celebrate Black History Month, look no further than Twitter’s emoji and new chatbot.

Created by the Blackbirds, Twitter’s black employee resource group, the chatbot, which launched Feb. 1, provides users with tons of information about how to commemorate the occasion.

So how does it work?

Just direct message the @Blackbirds account. It will greet you automatically, giving you four hashtags to choose from:

#BlackHistory, #ForTheCause, #SelfCare and #ForTheCulture.

#BlackHistory reveals little-known black history facts specific to a particular day. #ForTheCause pinpoints community events in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. #SelfCare gives tips on how to properly cater to your physical, emotional and mental needs regularly, and #ForTheCulture spotlights notable moments and tweets from black creators.

The Blackbirds have also created an official hashtag for February, #ForTheCulture, and the raised fist emoji accompanies the #BlackHistoryMonth and #BHM hashtags.

Influenced by Black Twitter, a network of African American Twitter users using the platform to promote identity and social change, the chatbot is yet another way to positively bring their culture to the forefront.

Try it out. It's available for the entire month of February.
