What started out as an armed robbery outside a Cobb County bar ended with a shootout that left two people dead and two in custody, police said.

Investigators believe it began when a trio of suspects attempted to rob two people Oct. 28 outside of Doc’s Food and Spirits on Cumberland Boulevard in Smyrna, according to arrest warrants obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Smyrna police declined Monday to discuss the case.

As Ebone Driskell and and another person were getting into Driskell’s car, they were approached by a suspect later identified as Isadore Walker Barboza carrying a handgun, Barboza’s arrest warrant states. Two additional suspects, identified by police as Renee Elizabeth Harris and Quondre Bentley, were also involved in the heist, according to police.

Driskell allegedly shot Bentley, who died, and Barboza allegedly shot and killed Driskell, arrest warrants state. Harris and Barboza allegedly left the scene in Driskell’s silver 2003 four-door Ford Taurus, Smyrna police previously said.

Harris, of East Point, was arrested Thursday at her home and booked into the Cobb County jail, booking records show. Barboza, of Marietta, was arrested in Augusta and booked into the Cobb jail Saturday. Both were being held Monday afternoon without bond.

Bentley, a convicted felon, served three years in prison following a burglary conviction in Clayton County, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections.
