Atlanta police have arrested a 27-year-old man suspected of killing a man Monday at an apartment off of West Lake Avenue.

Maurio Clifton was arrested for the death of Warren Roseberry, who received multiple gunshots to his torso after an argument escalated to gunfire, Sgt. Greg Lyon said Friday.

The 25-year-old Roseberry, of Clinton, S.C., was visiting his mother in Atlanta.

His mother, Brenda Roseberry, told Channel 2 Action News that her son was trying to tell everyone to get along.

“They didn’t have to kill my son,” she said.
