Is U.S. Senate candidate David Perdue the political outsider he claims to be?

Perdue’s campaign is stacked with former staffers who worked for his cousin, Gov. Sonny Perdue, and the candidate has received hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations from former backers of the ex-governor, an Atlanta Journal-Constitution analysis reveals.

Perdue, a wealthy businessman with no previous experience in an elected office, is locked in a tough runoff battle against Rep. Jack Kingston for the GOP nomination. Voting for the runoff is July 22.
