A father and son died after their trucks collided head-on early Sunday, according to AL.com.
Jeffrey Brasher, 50, and Austin Brasher, 22, died after they collided with each other around 4:10 a.m. on Fayette County 49 near Winfield, Alabama. Neither of the Brashers, who lived in Bankston, were wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, Troopers said.
Alcohol was a factor in the crash, according to investigators.
Jeffrey Brasher was pronounced dead at the scene. Austin Brasher died about five hours later at the Univeristy of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Center.
Troopers continue to investigate the accident.
