Back in the early 2000s, former Atlanta Braves pitcher John Smoltz purchased a home that was still under construction in Milton, and he made it his own.
Then in early 2012, the Hall of Famer put his estate on the market for $7.2 million. After there were no takers for five years, the price was dropped by $1.7 million to $5,490,000 in March.
But the price has recently been adjusted again — this time by nearly a half-million. The piece of property is now listed for $4,998,000.
The 18,000-square-foot home was once featured on HGTV’s “Million Dollar Rooms.” In the show, Smoltz says he designed the sports amenities in the expansive yard.
“...I did all the bulldozing work, the Bobcat,” he said. “And I wanted to physically be able to do the work, and then take care of it at the same time.”
The property is located on 19.7 acres at 700 Foxhollow Run in the gated Greystone community.
