Why did Burger 21 suddenly close in Snellville?

Burger 21 in Snellville is closed after just a few short months — but the jury's still out as to why, exactly.

"Unfortunately, due to a complexity of factors the Snellville location was closed for business indefinitely as of Friday, August 19th," a spokesperson told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in an email.

The website for the Tampa-based restaurant chain known for handcrafted burgers and shakes lists the Snellville location as temporarily closed. The 1575 Scenic Highway location had only been open since June.

Hopefully the Cracker Barrel that's scheduled to open in Snellville by mid- to late March lasts much longer than that.
