Hapeville police are trying to identify a man who was taken to the hospital after his car crashed and caught fire on northbound I-85 earlier this month.

A good Samaritan pulled the man from his black Infiniti convertible after the wreck, which happened Nov. 14, police spokeswoman Andrea L. Boyes said Tuesday.

“A sketch artist from the GBI was able to compose this sketch of what we believe the unidentified subject looked like before the vehicle crash,” she said. “This case is still under investigation and we are still trying to identify this person.”

The man is about 5-foot-7, of average build, weighs about 150 pounds, and has short black hair and thick eyebrows, Boyes said. He is in his teens or early 20s, police said.

The man’s condition was not known Tuesday.

Anyone with information about the man’s identity is asked to call police at 404-768-7171.
