Gwinnett County police officers wanted no part of a pursuit with a young black bear that was running by a manufacturing plant in Norcross this weekend.

The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office posted a video of police officers' encounter with the bear.

Two police cars are parked behind the business as the bear runs past. One officer keeps a safe distance, carrying a riot shield for protection.

“I am not chasing a bear,” an officer is heard saying.

The bear last seen running toward a wooded area.

The man who originally posted the video said this happened at a manufacturing facility of OFS Fitel, optical communications and fiber optic technology, near Jimmy Carter Boulevard and I-85.

“If only they had a pot of honey,” the sheriff’s office joked on Facebook.
