Gwinnett County is dedicating a day to helping job seekers perfect their resumes and learn about career opportunities within the government.

The 2017 Career Expo, held on Friday, Oct. 27, is hosted by the county’s department of human resources. The free event starts at 9 a.m. at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center.

Job seekers can meet face-to-face with representatives from departments across county government, including police, engineering, information technology and accounting. There will also be representatives from the human resources department available to provide free resume critiques.

There will also be three presentations throughout the day to help inform applicants of what they could get with a county job. At 9:30 a.m. there will be employee testimonials, followed by a session about employee benefits at 9:45 a.m. A 10:30 a.m. session will provide tips and tricks for applications and interviews.
