A sinkhole has closed a turn lane on a road in Johns Creek.

City officials say that crews began working on repairing damage from the sinkhole on northbound Jones Bridge Road around 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.

The work that crews are doing requires the right turn lane of the road onto Old Alabama Road to be closed through the night.

City officials say that permanent repairs are scheduled for Friday morning.
