Two southbound lanes on Ga. 400 near Alpharetta were closed Tuesday morning after a minivan caught on fire.

Firefighters from the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety arrived on the scene around 9:20 a.m. and needed to block to lanes to put the fire out.

By 10:06 a.m., the fire was out and the roadway was clear.

A spokesperson for the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety said no one was injured in the incident and they aren’t yet sure of how the fire started.

The owner of the car was given a ride home and the burnt vehicle was towed away.
