In the last two weeks, police said burglars forced their way into three homes in the Pinewalk Subdivision of Alpharetta.

Police currently have no descriptions of suspects at this point in the investigation. Jewelry, cash and other items were taken, police said.

In two cases, police said, the back glass doors to homes were shattered for the suspects to gain access. In another case, entry was gained when the suspect took the homeowner’s ladder from the yard and used it to break-in an upstairs window.

The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety is reminding residents to take precautions to prevent burglaries like locking all doors and windows, investing in a safe for valuables like jewelry, not leaving items in yards and using an alarm system.

Police also ask residents to call 911, or 678-297-6300, if they see something suspicious, or take a photo of the suspicious car or person with a cell phone. Residents can also request extra patrol or a vacation watch on Alpharetta's interactive lobby.
