One Gwinnett high school is the best in the state of Georgia, according to new rankings.

The Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology tops Niche’s list of 2017’s best high schools in Georgia. Three other Gwinnett high schools are in the top 10 statewide: North Gwinnett High School is No. 4, Peachtree Ridge High School placed eighth and Brookwood High School is No. 10.

The website used factors including academic performance, racial and economic diversity and teacher quality to determine which Georgia schools are best.

Out of 10 categories, Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology received grades of A+ in seven of them. The school received an A- in resources and facilities, B in clubs in activities and no grade in sports because it does not have its own athletic teams.

The Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science an Technology was also designated a "highest achieving" school by the Governor's Office on Student Achievement earlier this year, receiving a platinum distinction. In 2015, the Washington Post said the school was the most challenging in Georgia.
