1. Pedestrian hit and killed, driver detained in Gwinnett. A driver has been detained after hitting and killing a pedestrian on Jimmy Carter Boulevard early Thursday, Gwinnett County police said. The crash temporarily shut down Jimmy Carter Boulevard between Britt Road and Lawrenceville Highway. [Read here]

2. Delta passenger kicked off Atlanta flight after using restroom. A Delta Air Lines passenger was asked to exit the plane after he urgently had to use the lavatory when the plane was getting ready for takeoff, and a fellow passenger recorded the incident on video, according to a report. [Read here]
