New year, new Waffle House robberies.

And for one Cobb County location, it happened twice in three days.

The restaurant on Delk Road in Marietta was targeted New Year’s Day and again Wednesday.

The robberies follow a recent Coweta County armed robbery in which a Waffle House waitress pulled a gun (which later cost her a job) after thieves stole $200 from the restaurant.

Two men walked into the Delk Road location at about 6 a.m. Sunday and demanded an undisclosed amount, according to Cobb police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce.

Both men were between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-9 and in their mid-20s.

Two days later, the same Waffle House was robbed again. According to police, two men entered the restaurant and demanded money before running to a Kroger parking lot.

One of the men is described as 5-foot-6, 150 pounds. The other is 6-foot-1, 150 pounds.

Both were armed with a handgun.

No one was injured in either incident, police said. No video or pictures have been released. Police have not said if the incidents are related.

Cobb police are also investigating a separate armed robbery at a Chevron on Dallas Highway in Powder Springs in which a gas station clerk was threatened with a hammer.

According to police, a man entered the gas station about 6 a.m. Monday, threatened the clerk and demanded money. The alleged thief was last seen headed into the woodline behind the business.

The man is described as 6-foot with a thin build.
